Letter to the Hebrews Volume 8

God the Father's Supreme and Final Revelation to Humanity Part 8

Hebrews 1:13-14 But to which of the angels said He at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make Thine enemies Thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? KJV Note: MKJV = Modern King James Version

The writer of Hebrews takes this next verse from a Psalm of King David (Psalm 110:1) contrasting the marvellousness, the magnificence, and the majesty of our Lord, Master, and Savior Jesus Christ to that of the angels whom He created, with these words next, "But to which of the angels said He at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make Thine enemies Thy footstool?" (Hebrews 1:13) (KJV). The angels (as powerful and magnificant as they are) are His creation and not His equal, but the Son is His equal, for He is God the Father manifested and made visible to His creation humanity in the flesh as it is written for us by Dr. Luke with these words speaking of God, "Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the Church of God, which He (God) hath purchased with His own blood." (Acts 20:28) (MKJV). How did God bleed and purchase the Church with His own blood when He is invisible, He did so because He (God) was and is Christ made visible in the flesh and blood of a Man, for it is also written, "And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him." (2 Coritnhians 5:18-21) (MKJV).

The key verse is verse 19 where it is written 'To wit, that God was in Christ', you see all the nay sayers such as the atheist, liberals, and others who do not want Jesus Christ to be God won't read what is written in the Word of God that clearly declares Jesus Christ to be God. Some even say that Jesus did not ever say He was and is God, but He did many times, I'll give only one of His declarations when He said these words to some of the Jews who questioned His authority over that of the patriarch Abraham, "Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? And the prophets are dead; whom do you make yourself? Jesus answered, If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing; it is My Father who glorifies Me, of whom you say that He is your God. Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I should say I do not know Him, I would be a liar like you. But I know Him and I keep His Word. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and He saw and was glad. Then the Jews said to Him, You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham? Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Before Abraham came into being, I AM! Then they took up stones to throw at Him. But Jesus hid Himself and went forth out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and passed on by." (John 8:53-59) (MKJV). You see Abraham lived some 4,000 plus years before the time of this discourse our Lord Jesus Christ had with those Jews present and alive at that time. Remember the conversation Moses had with God when He (God) commanded Moses to go to Egypt and free the Jews from bondage, "And Moses said to God, Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the sons of Israel out of Egypt? And He said, I will be with you. And this shall be the sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought forth the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God upon this mountain. And Moses said to God, Behold, when I come to the sons of Israel, and shall say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they shall say to me, What is His name? What shall I say to them? And God said to Moses, I AM THAT I AM. And He said, So you shall say to the sons of Israel, I AM has sent me to you. And God said to Moses again, You shall say this to the sons of Israel, Jehovah the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My title from generation to generation." (Exodus 3:11-15) (MKJV).

Who was it that talked with Moses back then? It was God/Jesus, that is, the same Jesus/God that talked to the Jews when He walked on the earth as the God/Man. Believe it or don't believe it, that won't make it untrue, for it is the Truth the whole Truth, the only Truth and nothing but the Truth period. Here is what Adam Clarke had to say of this verse, "We have already seen, from the opinions and concessions of the Jews, that, if Jesus Christ could be proved to be greater than the angels, it would necessarily follow that he was God: and this the apostle does most amply prove by these various quotations from their own Scriptures; for he shows that while he is the supreme and absolute Sovereign, they are no more than his messengers and servants, and servants even to his servants, i.e. to mankind." The obedient angels that is, those who did not rebel with satan are servants of our Lord Jesus Christ throughout the earth and they are not exalted beings equal to Him, but are at the ready for whatever commands He gives to them to minister to us the redeemed of the Lord, that is, His adopted sons and daughters as it is written here in the final verse of Chapter 1, "Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?" (Hebrews 1:14) (KJV). The angels are sent forth for our guidance or direction at times and for our protection as we saw with Joseph and Mary the Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ when the angel Gabriel appeared to Joseph with these words of guidance and comfort, "Now the birth of Jesus Christ was this way (for His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph) before they came together, she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit. But Joseph, her husband to be, being just, and not willing to make her a public example, he purposed to put her away secretly. And as he thought upon these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take to you Mary as your wife. For that in her is fathered of the Holy Spirit. And she shall bear a son, and you shall call His name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins." (Matthew 1:18-21) (MKJV)

Also protecting as it written here, "And when they had departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise and take the young child and His mother and flee into Egypt. And be there until I bring you word, for Herod is about to seek the child to destroy Him. And he arose and took the young child and his mother by night and departed into Egypt. And he was there until the death of Herod; so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the LORD through the prophet, 'Out of Egypt I have called My Son.'" (Matthew 2:13-15) (MKJV). The Apostle Paul was also protected by an 'angel of God' when he was heading to Rome on a ship that was about to be wrecked, here is what occured, "And now I exhort you to be of good cheer, for there will be no casting away of life among you, only of the ship. For tonight an angel of God stood beside me, whose I am and whom I serve, saying, Fear not, Paul! You must stand before Caesar. And behold! God has given you all those who sail with you. Therefore, men, be of good cheer, for I believe God, that it will be so, according to the way it was told me." (Acts 27:22-25) (MKJV), for sure it was the angel of God who brought that ship ashore preserving the life of Paul and all who were on the ship with him. The angels are servants of God/Jesus doing His will as He commands them to do. Here is what Adam Clarke again has to say of this verse, "All the angels, even those of the highest order, are employed by their Creator to serve those who believe in Christ Jesus. What these services are, and how performed, it would be impossible to state. Much has been written on the subject, partly founded on Scripture, and partly on conjecture. They are, no doubt, constantly employed in averting evil and procuring good. If God help man by man, we need not wonder that He helps man by angels. We know that He needs none of those helps, for He can do all things Himself; yet it seems agreeable to His infinite wisdom and goodness to use them. This is part of the economy of God in the government of the world and of the Church; and a part, no doubt, essential to the harmony and perfection of the whole."

If you do not know the Lord Jesus Christ and His amazing healing power, pray this from your heart to the Lord Jesus Christ (you speaking directly to Him), Dear Lord Jesus, I confess to You that I am a sinner and I need Your forgiveness. I believe You shed Your Blood and died for my sins. I believe that You rose from the dead proving that You alone are God. I repent of my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I ask You Dear Lord Jesus to come into my heart and take control of my life. I want You to be my Lord, Savior, and my God. Amen...

Letter to the Hebrews Volume 7

God the Father's Supreme and Final Revelation to Humanity Part 7

Hebrews 1:11-12 They shall perish; but Thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture shalt Thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but Thou art the same, and Thy years shall not fail.  KJV Note: MKJV = Modern King James Version

Look back into the history of humanity and pull out the most powerful men or women who lived and see if any of them were self-existent, that is, did they cause themselves to exist on earth and to continue on the earth. The answer to this is they obviuosly did not because they have all died and each of their bodies (made from the dust of the earth) (Ecclesiastes 12:7) has returned to the dust of the earth from whence it came. So the writer of Hebrews highlights the pre-existence, the power, and the permanency of our Lord, Master, and Savior Jesus Christ over that of man, the angels, and even the heavens and earth that He created with these next two verses beginning with these words, "They shall perish; but Thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;" (Hebrews 1:11) (KJV). When he writes 'they' he is referring to the heavens and the earth as it now exist in its present form, for as it is written by the Prophet Isaiah, "And all the host of the heavens shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled like a scroll; and all their host shall droop, as a leaf falls off from the vine, and as the falling from the fig tree." (Isaiah 34:4) (MKJV) and also as written for us by the Apostle John with these words, "And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, even as a fig tree casts her untimely figs when she is shaken by a mighty wind. And the heaven departed like a scroll when it is rolled together. And every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every freeman, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains. And they said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him sitting on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb; for the great day of His wrath has come, and who will be able to stand?" (Revelation 6:13-17) (MKJV).

Here is what Albert Barnes had to say of this verse, "That is, the heavens and the earth. They shall pass away; or they shall be destroyed. Probably no more is meant by the phrase here, than that important changes will take place in them, or than that they will change their form. Still it is not possible to foresee what changes may yet take place in the heavenly bodies, or to say that the present universe may not at some period be destroyed, and be succeeded by another creation still more magnificent. He that created the universe by a word, can destroy it by a word and He that formed the present frame of nature can cause it to be succeeded by another not less wonderful and glorious. The Scriptures seem to hold out the idea that the present frame of the universe shall be destroyed; see 2 Peter 3:10-13; Matthew 24:35. 'But thou remainest.' Thou shalt not die or be destroyed. What a sublime thought! The idea is, that though the heavens and earth should suddenly disappear, or though they should gradually wear out and become extinct, yet there is one infinite being who remains unaffected and unchanged. Nothing can reach or disturb Him. All these changes shall take place under His direction, and by His command; see Revelation 20:11. Let us not be alarmed then at any revolution. Let us not fear though we should see the heavens rolled up as a scroll, and the stars falling from their places. God, the Creator and the Redeemer, presides over all. He is unchanged. He ever lives; and though the universe should pass away, it will be only at His bidding, and under His direction. 'And they all shall wax old.' Shall 'grow' or become old. The word 'wax' is an Old Saxon word, meaning to grow, or increase, or become. The heavens here are compared to a garment, meaning that as that grows old and decays, so it will be with the heavens and the earth. The language is evidently figurative; and yet who can tell how much literal truth there may be couched under it? Is it absurd to suppose that that sun which daily sends forth so many countless millions of beams of light over the universe, may in a course of ages become diminished in its splendor, and shine with feeble lustre? Can there be constant exhaustion, a constant burning like that, and yet no tendency to decay at some far distant period? Not unless the material for its splendor shall be supplied from the boundless resources of the Great Source of Light - God; and when He shall choose to withhold it, even that glorious sun must be dimmed of its splendor, and shine with enfeebled beams."

Note: Global warming is not some man made or man created phenomena, but it is the inevitability of a decaying earth because of sin as it is written for us by the Apostle Paul to the Church @ Rome with these words, "For the earnest expectation of the creation waits for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creation was not willingly subjected to vanity, but because of Him who subjected it on hope that the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. And we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now." (Romans 8:19-22) (MKJV). The universe is an  inanimate object, that is, it is breathless, pulseless, and non-living, therefore it cannot tell you anything or give you anything materially or spiritually, but the One True God (Jesus Christ) who made the universe can and He will hear you if you believe on Him (John 3:18). Next the writer of Hebrews shows the powerlessness of the universe at the same time highligting the limitless power of the One who created the universe our Lord Jesus Christ with these words, "And as a vesture shalt Thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but Thou art the same, and Thy years shall not fail." (Hebrews 1:12) (KJV). The little English phrase 'a vesture' is translated by the Greek word peribolaion meaning something thrown around one, that is, a mantle, veil: - covering, vesture. The English phrase 'shalt thou fold them up' is translated by the Greek word helissō (used this one time only in the New Testament) meaning to coil or wrap: - fold up.

So, in other words, just like one of us would pull off our coat or jacket or sweater and fold it up and put it in a drawer or on a shelf, the Lord Jesus Christ can and will fold up the heavens with all the many stars and galaxies and many other universes which He created at the time of His choosing. A young boy asked his Pastor, 'Do you believe their are other life forms (aliens) in outer space?' and the Pastor said, 'I do not believe so', but the boy said, 'Why then did God/Jesus go to the trouble of created all that is up there?', and the Pastor said, 'What trouble?', 'He/Jesus spoke and they came into being just that simply and effortlessly.' You see the power of God/Jesus is not understandble to us, for we cannot speak and make anything come into being, nor can we make something from nothing, but that is just what Jesus Christ did and does because He is self-existent and all powerful beyond our comprehension. Here is what Dr. John Gill had to say of this verse, "In order to lay them aside, and make no use of them in the manner they now are; just as clothes, when they are grown old, or out of fashion, are folded up, and laid aside from use at present, or are put into another form. In the Hebrew text it is, 'as a vesture shalt thou change them'; but the sense is the same, for a garment is changed by folding it, or turning it; as to their form and use, not as to their being; for a change, and an annihilation, are two things: which is expressive of the immutability of Christ, in His nature and perfections, in His person, and offices, in the virtue of His blood, righteousness, and sacrifice; and of His duration or continuance, in opposition to the fading and transitory nature of the heavens and earth, and of all outward enjoyments: and this may serve to take off the heart from the one, and set it upon the other; and to strengthen our faith in Christ, and encourage us to expect a continuance of blessings from Him; all supplies of grace now, and eternal glory hereafter."

Amen...

Letter to the Hebrews Volume 6

God the Father's Supreme and Final Revelation to Humanity Part 6

Hebrews 1:9-10 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even Thy God, hath anointed Thee with the oil of gladness above Thy fellows. And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of Thine hands: KJV Note: MKJV = Modern King James Version

To think and to do that which is right and good always is not something that can be ascribed to human beings, for it not an attribute of ours, nor is it something that is attainable for any of us, but the Man (Christ Jesus) went about His 33.5 years on the earth thinking and doing nothing but good always and at all times and in all places, even when He was brutalized by His very own creation mankind. Of course, this is because He was and is not just Man, but the GodMan, so it is a part of who He is to be right always, therefore, the writer of Hebrews makes this next statement concerning Him, "Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even Thy God, hath anointed Thee with the oil of gladness above Thy fellows." (Hebrews 1:9) (KJV). The idea (that has come from the devil through human instruments) that our Lord, Master, and Savior Jesus Christ did sin while He was on the earth for 33.5 years (as some attest that He had children with Mary Magdalene and even more women) is laughable and ludicrous, for if He was a man just like me or any other man born into the earth, then He would not have been able to take on my sin and all your sin which would make His death meaningless and His resurrection from the dead a lie or a hoax, but the true lie or hoax comes from the devil because he wants humanity to reject Christ and remain in their sin for all eternity, yet millions have heard the Gospel message and have been redeemed (bought back from the devil) (Colossians 1:13-14). The writer of Hebrews has taken this text from the Psalms also, that being Pslams 45:7.

Our Lord Jesus Christ came to fulfill all righteousness for man because unrighteousness was brought into the human race by the first man Adam, then righteousness had to brought back to the human race by another Man, in this case Christ Jesus the GodMan, listen to what the Apostle Paul wrote to the Church @ Rome, "For if by one man's (Adam) offense death reigned by one, much more they who receive abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by One, Jesus Christ. Therefore as by one offense sentence came on all men to condemnation, even so by the righteousness of One the free gift came to all men to justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of One shall many be made righteous." (Romans 5:17-19) (MKJV). Jesus Christ was not a begrudging or resentful Savior of the world, but He was joyful in doing the will of God the Father (Hebrews 12:2) and so He being Savior and God sits High above His fellows, meaning all the angels. Jesus Christ is above all His fellows because He is God who created all the angels (the obedient angels and the fallen angels), therefore, the writer of Hebrews says this concerning Him in the next verse quoting the writer of Psalms 102:25, "And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of Thine hands:" (Hebrews 1:10) (KJV). Before there was anything that is, there the Lord Jesus Christ was and had always been, for He is the One that said, 'Let there be light' and out from nothing came all that is now simply by His spoken words.

The Prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Zechariah all speak of this truth, "My hand also has laid the foundation of the earth, and My right hand has stretched out the heavens. I called; they stood up together." (Isaiah 48:13) (MKJV); "Ah, Lord Jehovah! You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and stretched out arm. Nothing is too great for You." (Jeremiah 32:17) (MKJV); "The burden of the Word of Jehovah for Israel, says Jehovah, who stretches forth the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him." (Zechariah 12:1) (MKJV). The Son of God is the Creator God, the second person of the GodHead. Here is what Matthew Henry had to say of this verse, "The Lord Christ had the original right to govern the world, because He made the world in the beginning. His right, as Mediator, was by commission from the Father. His right, as God with the Father, was absolute, resulting from His creating power. This power He had before the beginning of the world, and He exerted it in giving a beginning and being to the world. He must therefore be no part of the world Himself, for then He must give Himself a beginning. He was pro pantōn - before all things, and by Him all things consist, Colossians 1:17. He was not only above all things in condition, but before all things in existence; and therefore must be God, and self-existent. He laid the foundations of the earth, did not only introduce new forms into pre-existent matter, but made out of nothing the foundations of the earth, the primordia rerum - the first principles of things; He not only founded the earth, but the heavens too are the work of His hands, both the habitation and the inhabitants, the hosts of heaven, the angels themselves; and therefore He must needs be infinitely superior to them."

Amen...

Letter to the Hebrews Volume 5

God the Father's Supreme and Final Revelation to Humanity Part 5

Hebrews 1:7-8 And of the angels He saith, Who maketh His angels spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire. But unto the Son He saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of Thy kingdom. KJV Note: MKJV = Modern King James Version

Angels were created by God before He created man and they were created with distinctiveness quite opposite or different from man, for man was created to be lower than the angels, yet none of the angels at any time had ever seen God, but when our Lord, Master, and Savior Jesus Christ manifested Himself in the flesh, then all the heavenly host got to see the very God they worshipped constantly and continually. Therefore, it is the purpose of the writer of Hebrews to make the distinction between the Lord Jesus Christ and the angels in these next two verses, first he declares with these words (quoting the writer of the Psalms in Psalms 104:4), "And of the angels He saith, Who maketh His angels spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire." (Hebrews 1:7) (KJV). With the phrase 'Who maketh His angels spirits', clearly is a reference to their created status, for they are created beings who had a beginning and did not exist until God spoke them into existence. Angels were created to live outside of the natural world. They have no physical bodies and perhaps can take on any form in the spirit world, but they are not created to live in the natural world that belongs to man or humanity, unless they are commanded by God the Father to perform some specific task on the earth, then they can take on the form of man for the time alloted by God the Father, here is how the Prophet Ezekiel described the angels he saw in a vision from God, "And the likeness of the living creatures: they looked like burning coals of fire; like the appearance of torches. It was continually circling among the living creatures. And the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning. And the living creatures kept running and returning, like the appearance of a flash of lightning." (Ezekiel 1:13-14) (MKJV).

This is why the writer of Hebrews here declares them to be 'ministers', meaning they are the servants of God the Father for whatever specific task He commands them to do, especially being ministers to us that are the redeemed of the Lord Jesus Christ. Here is what Vincent's Word Studies had to say concerning the angels of God, "The thought is according to the rabbinical idea of the variableness of the angelic nature. Angels were supposed to live only as they ministered. Thus it was said: 'God does with His angels whatever He will. When He wishes He makes them sitting: sometimes He makes them standing: sometimes He makes them winds, sometimes fire.' 'The subjection of the angels is such that they must submit even to be changed into elements.' 'The angel said to Manoah, 'I know not to the image of what I am made; for God changes us each hour: wherefore then dost thou ask my name? Sometimes He makes us fire, sometimes wind.' The emphasis, therefore, is not on the fact that the angels are merely servants, but that their being is such that they are only what God makes them according to the needs of their service, and are, therefore, changeable, in contrast with the Son, who is ruler and unchangeable." The writer of Hebrews goes right into the point of the distinction between Jesus Christ and the angels writing these words next, "But unto the Son He saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of Thy kingdom." (Hebrews 1:8) (KJV). Here the writer of Hebrews quotes Psalm 45:6 speaking of the Son of God as God the Son also.

The Son of God's 'throne' is eternal because He is eternal, for He always was and always will be, yet, it was only when He was born into a human body and lived sinlessly in that human body for 331/2 years, then voluntarily died for the sins of the world that His form was changed forever, as He now lives in a resurrected glorified human body (still being God) from then on to now and on throughout all eternity. The English word 'sceptre' is translated by the Greek word rhabdos meaning a stick or wand (as a cudgel, a cane or a baton of royalty): - rod, sceptre, staff. Here are some verses that declare the Son of God Jesus Christ ruling with a rod of iron on the earth, "And He will rule them with a rod of iron, as the vessels of a potter they will be broken to pieces, even as I received from My Father." (Revelation 2:27) (MKJV) and "And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, so that with it He should strike the nations. And He will shepherd them with a rod of iron. And He treads the winepress of the wine of the anger and of the wrath of Almighty God." (Revelation 19:15) (MKJV).

Here is what Matthew Henry had to say of this verse 8 of Hebrews, "First, His true and real divinity, and that with much pleasure and affection, not grudging Him that glory: Thy throne, O God. Here one person calls another person God, O God. And, if God the Father declares Him to be so, He must be really and truly so; for God calls persons and things as they are. And now let who will deny Him to be essentially God at their peril, but let us own and honour Him as God; for, if He had not been God, He had never been fit to have done the Mediator's work nor to have worn the Mediator's crown. Secondly, God declares His dignity and dominion, as having a throne, a kingdom, and a sceptre of that kingdom. He has all right, rule, authority, and power, both as the God of nature, grace, and glory, and as Mediator; and so He is fully adequate to all the intents and purposes of His mediatorial kingdom. Thirdly, God declares the eternal duration of the dominion and dignity of Christ, founded upon the divinity of His person: Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever, from everlasting to everlasting, through all the ages of time, maugre (that is, notwithstanding) all the attempts of earth and hell to undermine and overthrow it, and through all the endless ages of eternity, when time shall be no more. This distinguishes Christ's throne from all earthly thrones, which are tottering, and will at length tumble down; but the throne of Christ shall be as the days of heaven. Fourthly, God declares of Christ the perfect equity of His administration, and of the execution of His power, through all the parts of His government: A sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. He came righteously to the sceptre, and He uses it in perfect righteousness; the righteousness of His government proceeds from the righteousness of His person, from an essential eternal love of righteousness and hatred of iniquity, not merely from considerations of prudence or interest, but from an inward and immovable principle."

Amen...

Letter to the Hebrews Volume 4

God the Father's Supreme and Final Revelation to Humanity Part 4

Hebrews 1:6 And again, when He bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, He saith, And let all the angels of God worship Him.  KJV Note: MKJV = Modern King James Version

Our Lord, Master, and Savior Jesus Christ as we have firmly documented from the Scripture always was and there was never a time that He did not exist, therefore, He is not a newly created being (like angels or cherubim) as some have so sadly mistaken, misquoted, and misunderstood the Word of God (i.e. the Mormons), but He is God come down to earth manifested in the flesh just as the Apostle Paul declared to Brother Timothy when he wrote these words to him in his first letter, "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among nations, believed on in the world, and received up into glory." (1 Timothy 3:16) (MKJV), so then we understand why the writer of Hebrews writes these words here in verse 6 declaring unto all converted Jews and likewise to we Gentiles this same truth, "And again, when He bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, He saith, And let all the angels of God worship Him." (Hebrews 1:6) (KJV). The little English phrase 'He bringeth in' is translated by the Greek word eisagō meaning to introduce (literally or figuratively): - bring into, lead into.

In other words, God introduced Himself to Humanity in the form of a Man in order to save man and show man who He was and is and what He does and to show mankind what they can be joined or united with Him, for as it is written of our Lord Jesus Christ concerning His 331/2 years on the earth these words, "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and He went about doing good, and healing all those who were oppressed by the Devil, for God was with Him." (Acts 10:38) (MKJV). Adam's sin made him be marred and all of the rest of humanity that came from him was also marred with sin as the Prophet Jeremiah declared with these words to the Nation Israel speaking of the people, "Then I went to Euphrates, and digged, and took the girdle from the place where I had hid it: and, behold, the girdle was marred, it was profitable for nothing." (Jeremiah 13:7) (KJV). This is the condition of every sinner (profitable for nothing) in the world before coming to our Lord Jesus Christ for redemption, restoration, and resurrection life that He alone gives. However, every man or woman 'in Christ' is re-made, re-newed, and re-born into newness of life, for Christ does for and to every sinner that He receives what the same Prophet Jeremiah said with these words to the Nation Israel, "And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it." (Jeremiah 18:4) (KJV). The marred vessel (every sinner) is made into a new vessel by 'The Potter' our Lord Jesus Christ.

When the writer of Hebrews says, 'and let all the angels of God worship Him', he refers to the incarnation or the manifestation of God in the flesh at Christ birth in Bethlehem as it is written or documented for us by Dr. Luke, "And in the same country there were shepherds living in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And lo, the angel of the Lord came on them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them. And they were grievously afraid. And the angel said to them, Do not fear. For behold, I give to you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For to you is born today, in the city of David, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this is a sign to you. You will find the babe wrapped, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. And it happened as the angels departed from them into Heaven, the shepherds said to one another, Indeed, let us go to Bethlehem and see this thing which has happened, which the Lord made known to us." (Luke 2:8-15) (MKJV). Here is what Matthew Henry had to say about this verse, "That is, when He is brought into this lower world, at His nativity, let the angels attend and honour Him; or when He is brought into the world above, at His ascension, to enter upon His mediatorial kingdom, or when He shall bring Him again into the world, to judge the world, then let the highest creatures worship Him. God will not suffer an angel to continue in heaven who will not be in subjection to Christ, and pay adoration to Him; and He will at last make the fallen angels and wicked men to confess His divine power and authority and to fall before Him. Those who would not have Him to reign must then be brought forth and slain before Him. The proof of this is taken out of Psalm 97:7, Worship Him, all you gods, that is, 'All you that are superior to men, own yourselves to be inferior to Christ in nature and power.'"

Amen...

Sincerely in Christ,
