Walk in Light

Ephesians 5:8-10 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. NKJV
The National Geographic Channel had a show of a group of researchers studying the wildlife of big cats in the jungles (Jaguars) and they had to set up infrared cameras high up in the trees because the cats hunted mostly during the cover of darkness. They showed how it was so dark in the jungle they could not even see their own hands held out in front of them. Just as no human being can see in the natural in pitch darkness, so can no natural man without regeneration see out of the darkness that is sin. Therefore, it is likewise not natural for the children of light and the children of darkness to live this earthly life in the same manner. Purity and impurity are opposites just like positive and negative.

The picture Paul paints for us here is very clear and shows us the stark contrast in us from our past life in ignorance due to the dark tunnel we traveled through when our lives were mastered by sin. He reminds us our Lord Jesus being the Light of the World and that in Him we are made to be light by Him. Paul (speaking by inspiration of the Holy Spirit) even commands us to not partake in the darkness of those who are still the children of disobedience. It is by the unbelievable grace of God that we have light in us now and we must yield ourselves to the control of God the Holy Spirit that we may continually live in His light. When we remember our helplessness before our union with the Lord, then we will make our prayers be about bringing Glory to Christ Name. It is in the Word of God where we find out what our Lord requires of us to bring Glory to His name and live according to that which would Glorify Him.
2 Corinthians 4:6 For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. NKJV

This quote from Barclay is so deep that it should cut every heart that reads it, "The gravest disservice that any man can do to a fellow man is to make him think lightly of sin." Only a soul that is still walking in darkness would desire to see others look at sin lightly. Light and darkness are never able to co-exist, because when a light is turned on in any dark room the darkness is immediately eliminated. Paul reminds us that we were once darkness (in past tense) but we have stop running from the Light (Christ) and now we run to Him that our spiritual eyes may be washed daily from all of our sin matter, so that we can see ourselves just as we are now called to walk in this great newness of life in Him.
John 3:19-20 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. NKJV

The way of man without the life of God abiding in him is to try to be good by doing humanly good things. However, the Lord Jesus Christ freely gives His life first and then through the Holy Spirit teaches how to walk in His light. Christ is the truth and His called out ones are the pillar of truth. The lifestyle that produces death all the followers of Christ have been redeemed from it. It is the devil who is a liar and the father of all lies and wants to convince men and women to exchange the truth for his lie.

Acts 26:18 to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me. NKJV
Here our Lord draws the line of demarcation very clearly between light and darkness through the words He spoke to the Apostle Paul. This is the very reason for the virgin birth, the incarnation, and Christ death on the cross and His Resurrection was to bring the damaged soul out of darkness into His marvelous light. When we go our own way and remove our hearts from intimacy with our Precious Lord Jesus, then we live in such a way as to bring confusion to the dying and lost world around us and we become stumbling blocks to them receiving forgiveness. If we desire to justify a lifestyle controlled by immorality and paint it under grace, then we prove ourselves to be disconnected from Christ’s life. Salvation in Jesus Christ is not merely making a decision for Him, but on the contrary it is truly opening up your heart to the Lord and turning from sin and receiving His life and His life automatically changes our desires to be equal to His desires. Being delivered from sin into salvation is like walking out of a pitch black pit right into the middle of the sun.

Listen to this quote from Charles Spurgeon (1834-1892) from one of his sermons dated December 3, 1865, “As soon as God the Holy Spirit begins to work upon the soul of man to illuminate him, he perceives at once his own sinfulness. He abhors that sinfulness, he labors to escape from it, he cries out for a remedy—he finds it in Christ—therefore he no longer loves sin, he is not guided any longer by the darkness of policy and selfishness and error, but he walks after the light of the Truth of God, of righteousness, of holiness, of true knowledge. God has brought him into light—he sees now what he never saw before! He knows, feels, believes, recognizes what he never had known anything of before—he is in the light.”

GRACE

As another Sunrise creeps over the Mountain peak
I can feel my inadequacies and how I’m so weak
The dawning of this new day gives but a glimpse of Your Glory divine
Yet to You I am not weak, but You see Your Glory as mine
Oh for just one chance to see me as You do
How different I would live daily, before You
Your grace found me broken a mess among men
But Your grace washes and cleans me and covers all my sins
How long I ran away from the very grace I now love
Lord Jesus You came down just for me from Heaven above!!!

Sexual Purity is Warfare with the devil

1 Peter 5:8-11 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. NKJV
The definition of warfare is the process of military struggle between two nations or groups of nations; armed conflict between two massed enemies, or armies; conflict, especially vicious and unrelenting, between competitors.

The entire media conglomerate has been designed and is being run by the devil. For those who have not a relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ, the ipads, iphones, laptops, other smartphones, dvd’s, Netflix, hd tv’s, internet/online tv and movies, etc. are all aimed at keeping the unregenerate so entertained/inoculated in sin keeping them blinded lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
Ephesians 4:17-19 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. NKJV

For those of us who have been redeemed the enemy seeks to use those weapons against us to get us to fall into sin and so sully our Lord Jesus’ Name and damage our testimony to the lost world around us. Therefore, we must recognize that we are foot soldiers in a spiritual war for our sexual purity. The enemy of us and our Lord, Master, and Savior Jesus Christ is constantly going amongst the children of the Living God seeking to lure us away from our intimacy with Christ. Here is a quote from my upcoming book “Silent Assassins of the Soul”, “The enemy does not take breaks or holidays. Just as God neither sleeps or slumbers nor does our adversary the devil. He never rests. He seeks to devour us by stealing our joy, victory, piece of mind, and the like.” We must be building up our inner man so that we will be alert and aware of the small and subtle attacks upon our mind that will draw us from the love of God.
We must put on all of our armor every moment and keep our hearts with all diligence in the love of God. Connecting our prayers with other brothers and sisters in Christ is a good way for us to build each other up into perfect men and women in Christ. We must fight every impulse to allow the enemy through deception to intimidate us to indulge any sins of the flesh or spirit, but we must resist him steadfast in “The Faith” once and for all handed down to the saints from Christ and the Apostles. The enemy’s lies along with his persecution reveal those who eventually Apostatize from the truth of the gospel and live in sexual impurity.

Here is what Adam Clarke had to say about how the devil tempts, “As a roaring lion - Satan tempts under three forms
1. The subtle serpent; to beguile our senses, pervert our judgment, and enchant our imagination.

2. As an angel of light; to deceive us with false views of spiritual things, refinements in religion, and presumption on the providence and grace of God.
3. As a roaring lion; to bear us down, and destroy us by violent opposition, persecution, and death. Thus he was acting towards the followers of God at Pontus, etc., who were now suffering a grievous persecution.”

We must navigate our way through these traps being laid for us by our enemy by being watchful in the Word of God and persistent, and continual in prayer. Our Lord said, “Watch and pray for the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” We must be so Heavenly minded that we dim the false light coming from the world and let our complete conversation be as that of the entire Heavenly chorus going on right at this present moment at the Holy Father’s Throne. From the onset of our new birth we are being trained by God the Holy Spirit for warfare with the devil. Some may ask why must we fight against the devil since now we have God living in us (He is greater than the devil)? This is true but God the Holy Spirit will never fight our battles without our participation. We must fight in His strength using the Word of God to keep ourselves sexually pure. For all of my single brothers and sisters in the Lord Jesus this will not come without suffering.
1 Peter 4:1 (AMP): “So, since Christ suffered in the flesh {for us, for you}, arm yourselves with the same thought and purpose [patiently to suffer rather than fail to please God]. For whoever has suffered in the flesh [having the mind of Christ] is done with [intentional] sin [has stopped pleasing himself and the world, and pleases God].”

"His Temptation And Ours" — My Utmost For His Highest for 09/18/2012
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. — Hebrews 4:15

Until we are born again, the only kind of temptation we understand is that mentioned by St. James - "Every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed." But by regeneration we are lifted into another realm where there are other temptations to face, viz., the kind of temptations Our Lord faced. The temptations of Jesus do not appeal to us, they have no home at all in our human nature. Our Lord's temptations and ours move in different spheres until we are born again and become His brethren. The temptations of Jesus are not those of a man, but the temptations of God as Man. By regeneration the Son of God is formed in us, and in our physical life He has the same setting that He had on earth. Satan does not tempt us to do wrong things; he tempts us in order to make us lose what God has put into us by regeneration, viz., the possibility of being of value to God. He does not come on the line of tempting us to sin, but on the line of shifting the ! point of view, and only the Spirit of God can detect this as a temptation of the devil.
Temptation means the test by an alien power of the possessions held by a personality. This makes the temptation of Our Lord explainable. After Jesus in His baptism had accepted the vocation of bearing away the sin of the world, He was immediately put by God's Spirit into the testing machine of the devil, but He did not tire, He went through the temptation "without sin," and He retained the possessions of His personality intact.

"After Surrender - What?" — My Utmost For His Highest for 09/13/2012

I have finished the work which Thou gavest Me to do. — John 17:4
Surrender is not the surrender of the external life, but of the will; when that is done, all is done. There are very few crises in life; the great crisis is the surrender of the will. God never crushes a man's will into surrender, He never beseeches him, He waits until the man yields up his will to Him. That battle never needs to be re-fought.

Surrender for Deliverance. "Come unto Me and I will give you rest." It is after we have begun to experience what salvation means that we surrender our wills to Jesus for rest. Whatever is perplexing heart or mind is a call to the will - "Come unto Me." It is a voluntary coming.
Surrender for Devotion. "If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself." The surrender here is of my self to Jesus, my self with His rest at the heart of it. "If you would be My disciple, give up your right to yourself to Me." Then the remainder of the life is nothing but the manifestation of this surrender. When once the surrender has taken place we never need "suppose" anything. We do not need to care what our circumstances are, Jesus is amply sufficient.

Surrender for Death. John 21:18-19. ". . . another shall gird thee." Have you learned what it means to be bound for death? Beware of a surrender which you make to God in an ecstasy; you are apt to take it back again. It is a question of being united with Jesus in His death until nothing ever appeals to you that did not appeal to Him.
After surrender - what? The whole of the life after surrender is an aspiration for unbroken communion with God.

"By Spiritual Confusion" — My Utmost For His Highest for 09/12/2012

Ye know not what ye ask. — Matthew 20:22
There are times in spiritual life when there is confusion, and it is no way out to say that there ought not to be confusion. It is not a question of right and wrong, but a question of God taking you by a way which in the meantime you do not under stand, and it is only by going through the confusion that you will get at what God wants.

The Shrouding of His Friendship. Luke 11:5-8. Jesus gave the illustration of the man who looked as if he did not care for his friend, and He said that that is how the Heavenly Father will appear to you at times. You will think He is an unkind friend, but remember He is not; the time will come when everything will be explained. There is a cloud on the friendship of the heart, and often even love itself has to wait in pain and tears for the blessing of fuller communion. When God looks completely shrouded, will you hang on in confidence in Him?
The Shadow on His Fatherhood. Luke 11:11-13. Jesus says there are times when your Father will appear as if He were an unnatural father, as if He were callous and indifferent, but remember He is not; I have told you - "Everyone that asketh receiveth." If there is a shadow on the face of the Father just now, hang onto it that He will ultimately give His clear revealing and justify Himself in all that He permitted.

The Strangeness of His Faithfulness. Luke 18:1-8. "When the Son of Man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?" Will He find the faith which banks on Him in spite of the confusion? Stand off in faith believing that what Jesus said is true, though in the meantime you do not under stand what God is doing. He has bigger issues at stake than the particular things you ask.

The Best Road to Travel

Psalm 119:133 Direct my steps by Your word, And let no iniquity have dominion over me. NKJV
Every human being on this planet knows what it means in the natural to travel down a road in order to reach a destination for business, personal, work, or other purposes. We have all spent much of our lives no matter the length of life here on earth traveling on man-made roads of some sort. However, there is also a spiritual road we can travel to our benefit and delight, a good road, a blessed road, a road that leads to strong faith, good conduct, and purity found in a heart yielded to obedience to the Word of God. On this spiritual road we discover all the spiritual blessings in the heavenly places we have in Christ Jesus our Lord. It is like a cross country Holy Spirit led trip that never ends.

When our Lord Jesus was tempted to sin and be disobedient in the wilderness by the devil, He resisted the devil not as God but as man filled with the Holy Spirit and He used the Word of God against the enemy. Our knowledge of the Word of God and its proper use by the leading of God the Holy Spirit will keep any sin from mastering, ruling, or controlling us at any point of our Christian pilgrimage.
The Bible is called by the Apostle Paul the sword of the Spirit. In order for us to use this sword in resisting temptation to sin, we must hide the Word in our hearts by prayer, reading, studying, and meditating on the Word every day. If the heart is filled with the Word of God then there will be no place that needs temporal satisfaction from sin. Paul wrote to Timothy that the Word of God is profitable and that it gives instruction in righteousness. Paul exhorted Timothy to take heed to his doctrine (teaching from the Word of God) and that he should give himself over to that entirely.

The best road traveled brings peace and a heart continually being cleansed from impurity. However, the way or road of sin is like a car having lost its brake function and speeding out of control, it will soon crash hard and hurt, injury, and even death will be the result. The Word of God has tremendous power. By Gods very Words He made everything in the heavens and on the earth. Therefore, His Words can frame and shape our hearts and our will to see His truth and the beauty in it for our benefit. There will always be exits on the road and we have the option to veer off onto one of those exits or stay on the best road to travel.
Matthew Henry has this to say of the Word of God, “There is no occasion for the writings of the philosopher, nor for rabbinical fables, nor popish legends, nor unwritten traditions, to make us perfect men of God, since the scripture answers all these ends and purposes. O that we may love our Bibles more, and keep closer to them than ever! and then shall we find the benefit and advantage designed thereby, and shall at last attain the happiness therein promised and assured to us.”

Grace of God vs. spirit of the Age

Titus 2:11-14 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. NKJV
If the grace of God has truly appeared to all men, then why are not all men saved by said grace and living daily by said grace? Paul spoke of the grace of God in Ephesians 3. He first referred to the “dispensation of the grace of God” that he received for the sake of the non-Jews. He later said that he had received the “gift of the grace of God” by the effective working of Christ power. Therefore, this “grace of God” has appeared now through our Lord Jesus Christ and is free to any person willing to receive it by repentance and faith.

The spirit of the Age:
A brother in Christ who writes a blog entitled “Intentional Warriors” placed an excerpt from a Playboy Magazine interview with Musician John Mayer. He got the post from XXXChurch who put it on their website. Here is the actual interview, note I have tried to clean up some of the language for your reading but it is hard to leave out some words to get his full intent (I apologize for it being coarse, but it is what it is):

MAYER: I’m a self-soother. The Internet, DVR, Netflix, Twitter—all these things are moments in time throughout your day when you’re able to soothe yourself. We have an autonomy of comfort and pleasure. By the way, pornography? It’s a new synaptic pathway. You wake up in the morning, open a thumbnail page, and it leads to a Pandora’s box of visuals. There have probably been days when I saw 300 [naked girls] before I got out of bed.

PLAYBOY: What’s your point about porn and relationships?

MAYER: Internet pornography has absolutely changed my generation’s expectations. How could you be constantly synthesizing an orgasm based on dozens of shots? You’re looking for the one photo out of 100 you swear is going to be the one you finish to, and you still don’t finish. Twenty seconds ago you thought that photo was the hottest thing you ever saw, but you throw it back and continue your shot hunt and continue to make yourself late for work. How does that (porn) not affect the psychology of having a relationship with somebody? It’s got to.

PLAYBOY: You seem very fond of pornography.

MAYER: When I watch porn, if it’s not hot enough, I’ll make up backstories in my mind. My biggest dream is to write pornography.

PLAYBOY: Masturbation for you is as good as sex?

MAYER: Absolutely, because during sex, I’m just going to run a filmstrip. I’m still masturbating. That’s what you do when you’re 30, 31, 32. This is my problem now: Rather than meet somebody new, I would rather go home and replay the amazing experiences I’ve already had.
PLAYBOY: You’d rather masturbate to an ex-girlfriend than meet someone new?

MAYER: Yeah. What that explains is that I’m more comfortable in my imagination than I am in actual human discovery. The best days of my life are when I’ve dreamed about a sexual encounter with someone I’ve already been with. When that happens, I cannot lay off myself.

The Grace of God:
Imagine if you would have a chance meeting with Musician John Mayer and tell him that the “grace of God” can transform him and give him a different view of  lust, premarital sex, and pornography 180 degrees different than his view today. (It is my opinion) He probably would tell you how there is nothing humanly wrong with viewing sexual images because we are sexual beings and he would most likely say that his personal sexual relationships with women does no harm to other people, nor does his pornography and masturbation and most of all that he is a good person. Maybe he would go on and on about his foundation and other charities he supports. A Google search revealed a who’s who list of women John Mayer has dated and in all likelihood had sex with them all. “When asked how many woman he's slept with since splitting with Aniston, Mayer estimated, "four or five. No more. But even if I said 12, that's a reasonable number. So is 15. Here's the thing: I get less blank now than I did when I was in a local band. Because now I don't like jumping through hoops."” (by Monica Herrera, N.Y. | February 10, 2010) This is a man highly respected for his song writing and performing abilities, but his heart is far from the One True God who created him. He is separated by the wall of his sexually charged lifestyle as he is blinded by the god of this world.

Many Christians say they listen to his music and some absolutely love it (maybe there is nothing wrong with that). I found a website by Jon Acuff (article entitled “Mayer” Christianity) who said that one of Mayer’s songs (Say) was performed at the Church he attends. I read the lyrics and listened to the Mayer song Say and it is a nice song with no vile or degrading language in it at all. The lyrics are very nice, however, they make no mention of the Name, Majesty, and Glory of our Lord, Master, and Savior Jesus Christ. This (in my humble opinion) is not the will of God. Church is not a place for concerts or music shows, but for exalting the Name of Jesus and singing praises from our hearts to His Heart. Our Lord Jesus Christ did not leave His Majesty, Splendor, and Glory of Heaven to become a poor Carpenter and be beaten beyond looking human, take sin upon Him, die on a tree, and rise from the dead to give us nice words in a song. He came as a substitute for sinners and to confront every sinner with the sinfulness of their hearts.
Mark 2:17 When Jesus heard it, He said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance." NKJV

Every person is sick (spiritually) in sin before the new birth. John Mayer is sick (spiritually) and he needs the healing touch of the Great Physician to make him well. Mayer (due to is music success) happens to live in the so-called public eye, but there are millions or billions of John Mayer’s all over this world who believe this lie from the pit of hell that the more female sexual conquest you have the more of man it makes you.
I am convinced that the addiction/sin to sex is far greater than all legal and illegal drug addiction combined. Every person (man or woman) who views pornography and has sex outside of marriage regularly are addicted to sex and the gratification that comes from completing the sexual act. It is the most destructive addiction/sin we human beings are confronted with on the earth. Paul wrote in Romans Chapter 1 that it produces a reprobate mind. This type of mind refuses or is unable to see/behold what acceptable behavior is from that which is unacceptable. I believe that the reprobate mind is influenced by demonic powers that drive the behavior and the pull to pornography, lust, fornication, etc. until a holy supernatural intervention takes place through the “grace of God” by the gospel. Remember the quote from Mayer above about masturbating to an old sex encounter rather than having sex with a new woman and he said, “Yeah. What that explains is that I’m more comfortable in my imagination than I am in actual human discovery.” Where do you suppose this type of skewed view comes from? It is sensual/devilish.

How must one overcome this destructive addiction/sin? First, it is by no human effort, but it can only be defeated by the “grace of God.” Salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ is step 1, the beginning. After the soul has been saved, then the “grace of God” is needed daily as the human body needs food and water daily to sustain physical life. This exact phrase “grace of God” is found 24 times in the gospels and the New Testament. Every occurrence of the word grace is from the Greek word charis, which means favor of God, but its meaning as it applies to living by this grace daily is divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life; including gratitude. The “grace of God” is so much more powerful than the destructive addiction/sin of lust, fornication, pornography, masturbation, etc. The “grace of God” is what makes a man a real man. No man can ever be a man of true substance (no matter his status on earth) until he has experienced the grace of the only God and Savior Jesus Christ through regeneration and the new birth and then daily receives the outflowing of that grace through its divine influence upon the heart. This is what John Mayer needs, it is what I need, and it is what you need to live a life of freedom that has meaning, purpose, satisfaction, and brings Glory to Jesus Christ.
Paul said in Galatian 2:21, “I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. NKJV In essence what Paul is saying is that there is no way for a soul to have right standing before All Mighty God and live in a right manner before Him except by receiving the “grace of God.” This is also reflected in the words from the Apostle John in 1 John 3:7-8 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. NKJV

"Disposition And Deeds" — My Utmost For His Highest for 07/24/2012
Except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. — Matthew 5:20

The characteristic of a disciple is not that he does good things, but that he is good in motive because he has been made good by the super-natural grace of God. The only thing that exceeds right-doing is right-being. Jesus Christ came to put into any man who would let Him a new heredity which would exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees. Jesus says - If you are My disciple you must be right not only in your living, but in your motives, in your dreams, in the recesses of your mind. You must be so pure in your motives that God Almighty can see nothing to censure. Who can stand in the Eternal Light of God and have nothing for God to censure? Only the Son of God, and Jesus Christ claims that by His Redemption He can put into any man His own disposition, and make him as unsullied and as simple as a child. The purity which God demands is impossible unless I can be remade within, and that is what Jesus has undertaken to do by His Redemption.
No man can make himself pure by obeying laws. Jesus Christ does not give us rules and regulations; His teachings are truths that can only be interpreted by the disposition He puts in. The great marvel of Jesus Christ's salvation is that He alters heredity. He does not alter human nature; He alters its mainspring. By Oswald Chambers

Lord, Help Me!

Oh Lord Jesus Your Word tis so wonderful and precious to me

Your Word You use to keep me free

I’ve tasted of the world with its dainties and delights

How bitter they are when compared to Your Light

Through Your Word I understand therefore

I hate every false way

All truth, complete truth is found in You Oh Ancient of Days

As I dig into Your Word as a miner digs for gold

I find Your nuggets more precious than all earthly riches untold

Oh how I love Your law You have written on my heart

And Oh how I am grieved, when we are apart

Help me to stand fast in You and Your gospel truth

No matter what comes, let me bear Your fruit

Strengthen me according to Your word

And then I will never be like a wandering heard

Tossed to and fro by every false teaching

Let me, be under true Biblical preaching

Apostasy abounds and Your truth tis watered down

But I Your servant want from You a crown

You wore a crown of thorns that I could wear the crown life

Keep me Your son from all who would bring me strife

Adonai turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things

So that I may not fall into sin and lose my bearings

And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth

So that my heart will be revived in Your righteousness and I will not be in a drought

I am surrounded by the wicked who hate Your law

But help me to reverence You and keep Your Word in awe

I have seen my impure ways and was afflicted when I went astray

But You Oh Lord Jesus cleansed me and washed all my filth away

Help me to lift up Your Word that I truly love

Singing songs and hymns in my heart to You Lord above

You have dealt well with me Your son

And by Your grace all of my battles are won

You are so good to me Lord Jesus better than I should ever deserve

Therefore all of Your holy ways I want to continually observe

You know the burning prayers of my heart for many years now

Therefore help me not to worry and trust You will work them out somehow

Because forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven

Therefore all that the Father has given You will become Your brethren

I know You are my shield, my rock, and my fortress

So I will continue to walk in Your Word with courage and great boldness

I love You Lord Jesus this from Your son a finite man

I will cling to You the Infinite One the Great I AM!!!

Sincerely in Christ,

Engulfed in Your Arms

Oh Lord You are the giver of Life to the sick,

You are the healer who transforms the wicked

Your Word becomes the light that shows the transformed soul the way

In which he should live for Your Glory each day

How easy it is for trials, test, and time to dim our light, but one touch of Your hand and a glimpse of Your face and surely and quickly we regain our sight

I wonder if we know the pain, grief, and even weeping You endure, while we wonder away from the only love that is secure

Oh Ancient of Days and only Infinite One, I thank You for Your grace that always keeps me from coming undone

Though I be surrounded by evil (witches, wizards, and koons) and appear to be alone, Your hand it uplifts me right next to Your Throne

You say my son soon (Clifford D. Tate, Sr.) all the evil will see the lake of fire, but you precious son will be finally and completely cleansed from all of your mire

Sincerely in Christ,
