When a person in Christ gets to this place of seeing himself as he really is now as an alien upon this earth, then he can truly be unmoved by anything. This is a description of every man or woman in Jesus Christ that sees life from the proper perspective. He or she is not expecting honor or praise from the world or comfort in this world, but they know that their only honor and comfort comes from how Jesus Christ sees them. Therefore, the state or condition they are in is one of contentment, peace, gratitude, and joy knowing that all things are Christ and that they belong to Christ.
Romans 8:16-18 And the Spirit himself speaks to our spirits and makes us sure that we are God's children. If we are God's children, we will get the blessings God has for his people. He will give us all that he has given Christ. But we must suffer like Christ suffered. Then we will be able to share his glory. We have sufferings now, but these are nothing compared to the great glory that will be given to us. (ERV)
The Hebrew word for angel here is “malak”, which means to dispatch as a deputy a messenger of God (a Heavenly Police Officer you could say). The Hebrew word here for encampeth is “chanah”, which means to pitch a tent. Finally, the Hebrew word used here for fear is “yare”, which means to regard as worthy of great honor; to show devoted honor to. Can a child of God who fears only the Lord be better guarded than this?
