Paul declares God will Judge every Person Part 3
Romans
2:7 “Eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for
glory, honor, and immortality” NKJV
Now Paul continues into what will be the eternal/forever
irrevocable result of every man’s road traveled in this temporal earthly life (Matthew 7:13-14). The people who did
call on the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ and had all of their sins covered
under and by His Blood live a new life in Christ Jesus that seeks and desires
His Glory in everything they do. Somehow the lost man or woman has listened to
the devil’s lies so long and also witnessed many professing Christians who are
not real but hypocrites and think that Christianity is a religion (first wrong
assumption, it is not a religion) where people decide for Jesus and then begin
to live by a long list or set or rules. When the reality is that to the soul
washed from their sins in Christ Blood, their newness of life lived out daily
as they remain in this sin cursed world flows from a heart filled with love and
gratitude to the One (Jesus) who loved them while they were His enemy (Romans 5:10). We who know and love our
Lord Jesus Christ because He regenerated us and birthed us into His heavenly
family as adopted children value Him and esteem Him and consider Him precious
and priceless above all other human relationships and above any earthly things
or pleasures.
It is because of the new heart and nature given to
us by our Lord Jesus that we are what we are by His amazing grace freely given
to us that we seek His Glory and His Honor here upon His Earth and forever with
Him in eternity. Eternal life for the redeemed man or woman begins immediately
upon receiving Christ and therefore our incorruptible life is begun in this
life as we are now being sanctified daily by God the Holy Spirit to become just
like our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (1
John 2:25 & 1 John 3:1-3). It
is the soul who has been truly given or granted this new life in Christ that is
enabled to persevere through cruel, resentful, vengeful, obstinate, and angry
opposition and persecution continually to the end of their life obeying God by
His Word that prove that they are the ones who have been bought with a price,
the highest possible price that could have been paid for each one of us and
that is the Blood of Jesus Christ our Lord (1 John 2:29 & 1 John 3:7). These are the marks or the dividing
line that separate in this life and the life to come the righteous from the
unrighteous.
Romans
2:8-9 But to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey
unrighteousness --- indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, on every
soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek. NKJV
Paul now makes a quick and sharp left turn as he
begins to lay out for us the completely opposite eternal/forever destiny of
those who will not to obey God. They continue to run full speed ahead into and
after sin drowning their souls in all the evil works of the flesh and of the
spirit. These are those who are like the little boy who was being constantly told
by his Mother to sit down and he would not obey her and finally she picked him
up and sat him down in a chair. The little stubborn, stiff-necked, and strife
filled boy looked up at his Mother and said, “I’m still standing up on the inside” (Psalm 51:6). The soul that wills not to obey God is just like this
little boy standing against God in the inner man, and the will and cannot work
anything in their life but that which is unrighteousness. As we said in Part 2
this is why so many of these people make haste to the man-made religions or to
the demonic inspired spiritualties because there they can gratify the sensual
under the deceptive cloak that all roads will eventually lead to God if you be
but sincere in what you believe. These roads are dead ends and marked at the
end of every one of them is a big sign that is labeled HELL.
Paul declares that the contentious and disobedient
soul will meet with only indignation (God’s fierce passion against sin and
rebellion), wrath (God’s violent passionate abhorrence and vengeance against sin
and rebellion), tribulation (the soul will meet with intense pressure, be burdened
and afflicted because of their obeying sin and it all will be administered by
God as their just reward), and finally anguish (that is distress of the highest
magnitude and the feeling of being in the narrowest room sort of like a box or
coffin forever alive and conscious all the time) and all of this will be due to
their obedience to evil. This in reality is a word picture painted by the
Apostle Paul of an eternity spent in hell away from all of the goodness that is
in our Lord Jesus Christ (Mark 9:42-48).
Romans
2:10-11 But glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the
Jew first and also to the Greek. For there is no partiality with God. NKJV
Paul now makes another sharp turn back to the right
and shows the absolute opposite eternal reward for the soul that obeys the
gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ (not with just words spoken, but from the heart
(Romans 10:9-10)). Every person who
is counted worthy by virtue of the new birth is rewarded by God with glory (dignity
received from the hand of God and praise from Him), honor (just like we value
our Lord Jesus Christ, He gives us value and He values us, He esteems us and we
are precious to Him and our souls are priceless to Him, we are to Him of exceedingly
great worth and value forever with Him in heaven), and finally peace (we receive
from Him His peace and our souls born sinful are quieted and at rest in Him for
all eternity as we are set at one again or made whole in our inner man forever
by His Blood). Paul continues on toward
his build-up of the impartiality of God by emphasizing that God will judge Jew
and Gentile in the same manner without favoritism to either. With God the
Father there is no favorite creature anywhere in His Universe not amongst the
angels or humanity. His judgment is always in accordance with truth to every
one of His created beings and the souls of men and women throughout the ages
are no exception. The earthly popular, wealthy, heads of states, kings, queens,
presidents, and any other titles we human beings use to elevate or lift a man
or woman above others in Government, class, or social status means nothing to
the One True God for all will be judged according to His truth alone (Galatians 2:6 & Colossians 3:25 & 1
Peter 1:17).

If you do not know the Lord Jesus Christ and His amazing healing power, pray this from your heart to the Lord Jesus Christ (you speaking directly to Him), Dear Lord Jesus, I confess to You that I am a sinner and I need Your forgiveness. I believe You shed Your Blood and died for my sins. I believe that You rose from the dead proving that You alone are God. I repent of my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I ask You Dear Lord Jesus to come into my heart and take control of my life. I want You to be my Lord, Savior, and my God. Amen...
