The Truth comes to Corinth Part 2 Volume 10

Paul Declares the Glory & Majesty of the New Covenant made by Christ Death & Resurrection Part 1
2 Corinthians 3:7-9 But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. KJV

Paul has over and over in practically every one of his epistles or letters to the various churches declared the Law of God received from Him by Moses on Mount Sinai (Leviticus 27:34) as the law of sin and death or in this case as he writes to these Corinthian believers the “ministration of death” which testifies to the inability of the Law of God (though it is spiritual and perfect) to impart spiritual life or in other words to provide the sinner with a new character and quality of life as our Lord Jesus said clearly and plainly is the reason He became a Man and died for sinful man to do just that impart to him a new quality of life within his spirit, soul, and body, as He declared with these words, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy (the devil); I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly (Christ)” (John 10:10). Paul now wants to emphasize to these Corinthian believers and to us the exceeding glory and majesty of this New Covenant our Lord Jesus Christ has made through the shedding of His Own Blood by first looking back to the glory that was made manifest in the Old Covenant by Moses countenance or his face as he descended from Mount Sinai back into the presence of the children of Israel.
When Moses left the presence of God on top of Mount Sinai, his face radiated and shone with such glory that the children of Israel could not look upon him without his face being veiled or covered. In truth, it was not due to the law on those stone tablets that Moses radiated and beamed with such glory, but it was the fact that he was in the presence of Almighty God and drew everything he needed to sustain his spiritual and physical life from God’s Presence, for he did not eat for 40 days and nights. The Law of God brought death to the children of Israel and it was our Lord Jesus Christ according to this discourse recorded for us by the Apostle John with the Jews when He came in the Flesh that shone light on their futility, “But when it was now the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and began to teach. The Jews then were astonished, saying, ‘How has this Man become learned, having never been educated?’ So Jesus answered them and said, ‘My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me. If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know of the teaching, whether it is of God or whether I speak from Myself. He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who is seeking the glory of the One who sent Him, He is true, and there is no unrighteousness in Him. Did not Moses give you the Law, and yet none of you keeps the Law? Why do you seek to kill Me?’” (John 7:14-19).

Here was the Creator of man and the Giver of the Law sitting in their midst teaching truth and they rejected Him and continued about in their futility thinking the Law could save them and missed the Giver or Imparter of Life Christ Jesus our Lord as the Apostle Peter declared with these words recorded for us by Dr. Luke, “The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified His servant Jesus, The One whom you delivered and disowned in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release Him. But you disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, but put to death the Prince of life, The One whom God raised from the dead, a fact to which we are witnesses” (Acts 3:13-15). Paul declares that if this “ministration of death” was glorious, then the “ministration of the Spirit” rather or mallon meaning more or so much more or to a much greater degree shall it be glorious through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord the Giver and Imparter of All Life physical and spiritual.
Paul declares that it was the giving of the Holy Law of God that brought condemnation or katakrisis to humanity meaning it brought judgment against our sins; condemnation or strong disapproval of our sins pronouncing them as wrong and immoral; it sentenced us to death physically and spiritually and eternally for our sins as it is written by Paul here to the Roman believers in the first half of Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death”, but on the contrary through the death and resurrection of God’s Holy Seed, His Son Jesus Christ mallon or so much greater is the New Covenant or the “ministration of righteousness/justification” exceeds or perisseuo meaning is superabundantly superior in quality, beyond measure in quality, and preeminent in quality or over and above in quality in  comparison to the Old Covenant that is done away with or kartageo meaning rendered entirely idle and made useless literally and figuratively it was abolished, made void and vanished away as it is written, “But now He (Christ) has obtained a more excellent ministry, by as much as He is also the mediator of a better covenant, which has been enacted on better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion sought for a second” (Hebrews 8:6-7).

“When God spoke to Moses and others in the Old Testament, those events were encounters with God. An encounter with Jesus was an encounter with God for the disciples. In the same way an encounter with the Holy Spirit is an encounter with God for you.” Henry Blackaby
“When the Spirit came to Moses, the plagues came upon Egypt, and he had power to destroy men’s lives; when the Spirit came upon Elijah, fire came down from heaven; when the Spirit came upon Gideon, no man could stand before him; and when it came upon Joshua, he moved around the city of Jericho and the whole city fell into his hands; but when the Spirit came upon the Son of Man, He gave His life; He healed the broken-hearted.” D. L. Moody

“Let your tears fall because of sin; but, at the same time, let the eye of faith steadily behold the Son of Man lifted up, as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, that those who are bitten by the old serpent may look unto Jesus and live. Our sinnership is that emptiness into which the Lord pours His Mercy.” Charles H. Spurgeon
“The perfection of God’s Holy Law was never given to humanity through the people of Israel in order to redeem, forgive, or exonerate man, but it was God’s expressed purpose to show man the extreme sinfulness of our sin and then we would be compelled to throw ourselves at the foot of Christ Cross to receive what we do not deserve God’s Mercy by way of His Grace.” Clifford D. If you do not know the Lord Jesus Christ and His amazing healing power, pray this from your heart to the Lord Jesus Christ (you speaking directly to Him), Dear Lord Jesus, I confess to You that I am a sinner and I need Your forgiveness. I believe You shed Your Blood and died for my sins. I believe that You rose from the dead proving that You alone are God. I repent of my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I ask You Dear Lord Jesus to come into my heart and take control of my life. I want You to be my Lord, Savior, and my God. Amen...

Sincerely in Christ,
