Jesus the Healer and Restorer

Matthew 8:26 “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” NKJV

The world our Lord Created and placed the first man Adam in has been so decimated that the effects of sin are evident everywhere and in all human life. Our Lord never had to go far before He was confronted with His purpose for coming to the earth. His mission was one of Restoration. Sin has so damaged, not only the physical world, but the spiritual, and emotional world of man as well. Our Lord is the Creator of all things, the Sustainer of all things, and in His first coming He would be the Restorer to all who would come to Him. During the course of His 331/2 year life walking on the earth, He was confronted with physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of people. He healed infirmities often in many different ways.

Why He chose to heal individual cases differently is not explained completely to me in the Scripture, but I am certain that He had a clear cut reason for He never does anything without purpose. We find in Matthew Chapter 8 our Lord healed two people with physical infirmities by touching them and making them well or whole and He healed two men demon-possessed (spiritual infirmity) by merely speaking one word of “Go” to the enemy of their souls and they were completely restored. The Centurions servant was suffering from perhaps not only his physical sickness, but emotionally suffering as well and our Lord would speak a word of healing over him (honoring the great faith of the Centurion) and he was made well.

Today our Lord is the same and still manifest His healing power in the lives of the men and women all over the world who have been cleansed or made clean from pornography, drugs, alcohol, prostitution, homosexuality, pedophilia, mental disorders, cutting themselves, post-traumatic stress disorder, paralysis, cancer, and many other physical, spiritual, and emotional infirmities. However, the cause of all of these is the disease of sin that every human being is afflicted with. The supreme restoration mission our Lord is on is that of seeking, calling, and saving sinners from their sin.

It is not a guarantee from the Lord Jesus Christ that everyone who comes to Him in repentance and faith for the removal of their sin disease will also be healed completely of any of the list of physical, spiritual, and emotional issues they may have in their lives, but it is a 100% guarantee from our Lord for us to become a partaker of His Divine Nature and receive an unlimited supply of His grace. Therefore, as He spoke to the Apostle Paul when He allowed a messenger of satan to give Paul a thorn in his flesh, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, knowing this truth then all who find themselves with physical, spiritual, or emotional infirmities, can say with the Apostle Paul, “Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

Here is an excerpt from my book entitled “Silent Assassins of the Soul”, “Scripture confirms that Christ came to bring life to a world caught in sin, and with life comes restoration. Restoration is defined as: (1) The act of restoring something or someone to a satisfactory state. (2) The state of being restored to its former good condition. The concept of restoration is in essence our rehabilitation, renewal, transformation, and escape from the kingdom of darkness. When we are restored back to our original design, God the Father, through the Lord Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit, draws us away from the power of sin right now. Before our deliverance we all are broken vessels and need a miracle to take place in our lives and in our hearts if we are to be made whole.”

Colossians 1:13-14 (AMP): “[The Father] has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, In Whom we have our redemption {through His blood} [which means] the forgiveness of our sins.”

“Come, and see the victories of the cross. Christ's wounds are thy healings, His agonies thy repose, His conflicts thy conquests, His groans thy songs, His pains thine ease, His shame thy glory, His death thy life, His sufferings thy salvation.” Matthew Henry

“In addition to being completely blasphemous and a deadly form of occultism that deters people from seeking medical help, the healing and prosperity movement spawns ultimate rebellion in the name of God.” T. A. McMahon

“Healing was a miraculous sign gift to be used for special purposes. It was not intended as a permanent way to keep the Christian community in perfect health. Yet today most charismatics teach that God wants every Christian well. If that is true, why does God allow Christians to get sick in the first place?” John MacArthur

If you do not know the Lord Jesus Christ and His amazing healing power, pray this from your heart to the Lord Jesus Christ (you speaking directly to Him), Dear Lord Jesus, I confess to You that I am a sinner and I need Your forgiveness. I believe You shed Your Blood and died for my sins. I believe that You rose from the dead proving that You alone are God. I repent of my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I ask You Dear Lord Jesus to come into my heart and take control of my life. I want You to be my Lord, Savior, and my God. Amen...

Sincerely in Christ,
