A New Creation

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. NKJV

The History of mankind has recorded the great accomplishments of men and women from Albert Einstein to Harriet Tubman, Alexander Graham Bell to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.. Humanity has been blessed with some of the greatest minds over the centuries that have discovered new ideas and invented new things to improve the life of all people living on the earth. Yet none of these great men or women was ever blessed with the ability to create anything. We could convene the most brilliant minds all over the world in Science, Biology, Anatomy, etc. and give them an endless budget of resources and they could never create any new species of animal or human being. Man may be able to manipulate animal or human cells in the process of reproduction but that is not creation, it is but manipulation of creation. God alone has the ability to create and has done so by creating man and woman and all the other vast array of animal species we find upon the earth today. The Sun, Moon, Angels and Stars were created by Him from nothing simply through the speaking of His Word. It is foolish to worship the things created i.e. (Sun, Moon, Stars, or Angels) rather than the One (Jesus Christ) who created those things.

Question who could ever say that they had anything to do with their first birth from their Mother’s womb, answer would be emphatically none of us. Because the first man God created rebelled, disobeyed, or transgressed against God, that man Adam passed down to all men and women that come from his loins a humanly incurable disease called sin. It is 100% fatal. There have been great plagues that have ravished human life in horrific numbers over the years. Smallpox, Spanish flu, Black Death, malaria, AIDS, cholera, and typhus have killed billions of people in the past and still today. Yet none of them could ever kill with the precise regularity that the greatest disease of all (sin) kills with because it kills every human being that is ever born physically into this world.

Well, what would God have to do to defeat this disease that every person inherits? He would have to come from Heaven and become a man, suffer, die, and rise from the dead and by so doing He destroyed him that had the power of death (the devil). Jesus Christ has not come to teach us a better way to behave or to show us Christ consciousness as Oprah Winfrey exclaimed in one of her many New Age ramblings. Jesus Christ is re-creating a new race of human beings upon the earth, a people for Himself that are peculiar (made new and different by His regenerating work of new birth). Israel was and still is His special people to Him as the invisible Church today is to the Lord. No one will get to God by exerting effort of any sort but only by being re-created by the only Potentate, the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

Exodus 19:5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine. KJV

Deuteronomy 14:2 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth. KJV

Psalm135:4 For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure. KJV

Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

1Peter 2:9  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. KJV
